Iridium is the most luxurious vessel on Lake Taupo. This motor yacht is fabulous for cruising, entertaining & overnight excursions. A 5.5 metre tender accompanies Iridium allowing you to access remote beaches for walks, picnics, rivers for fly fishing and water sports

Overnight excursions
Chris Jolly offers an exclusive overnight experience on board the luxury boat 'Iridium'. The destination is the fabulous Western Bays. Enjoy an overnight stay on beautiful Lake Taupo in the absolute finest of boating pleasure. Our Launch, Iridium, is superbly equipped for extended overnight charters and whilst the vessel will be multifunctional we see the stay away trips as a real point of difference.

Accommodation
The accommodation consists of three lovely cabins. The master bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite with a spa bath, TV, DVD player, and desk. The second bedroom has a double bed with ensuite. The twin room has two single beds. The three cabins have drawers and a wardrobe. There are two guest bathrooms and separate crews’ quarters.

Cuisine
We always receive excellent feedback about our catering. Our chef is very capable and can cater to all your special requirements. All meals are matched with a superb selection of wines and there is a great bar facility for any special requests.

Entertainment
The generous saloon and large fly bridge areas allow us to entertain larger groups for cocktail cruises and evening functions. The emphasis here is on relaxation and cruising, rather than fishing - we cannot get 1700HP to go slow enough for trout! However clay target shooting and our entertainment systems, along with a glass of wine and great scenery should be more than enough to entertain guests. We can cater for up to 35 people.

Specifications of the Launch
70 feet long, beam 17' 6" Ed Monk designed Oceans Alexander. Two V10 MAN 820HP diesels giving a cruise speed of 20-22 knots and max 28 knots. Twin generators supply electricity on board for full reverse cycle, air con (hot and cold), the latest Fisher & Paykel galley, entertainment systems etc. As usual there is a barbeque on board.

The Accompanying Tender
A new 5.5 metre tender, complete with 70 hp outboard motor will accompany the Iridium and be used to access the more remote fly fishing spots around the Lake as well as for trolling. If you would like water sports to be included in your charter the tender is suitable for waterskiing and wakeboarding. All of these superb extras will be included when you charter the Iridium.
