This full day guided fly fishing package gives you the opportunity to fish the Tongariro River, world famous for trout fishing where approximately 750,000 trout spawn up the river each year. Infact, the nearby town Turangi is known as the ‘Trout Fishing Capital of New Zealand’.

For the ultimate trout fishing experience, it is highly recommnded that you go with an experience fly fishing guide as they know the best (and secret) spots where the trophy trouts are lurking.

Besides the more popular Tongariro River, there are also many other rivers around Taupo or Tongariro that you could explore with your guide. Just let us know what kind of fly fishing experience you are after and we will recommend the best one to suit.

On the rivers ‘catch and release’ is encouraged, however there are still some great photo opportunities.
