K2K Hiking Excursions

Get team building done with a backdrop of native birdsong and a healthy dose of vitamin D! A 4WD will collect your party and whisk you off to Kinloch, where you hit the trail for a relatively easy 10km walk through a native bush track overlooking Lake Taupō. Arriving at Kawakawa Bay, take a breather! The trail takes about three hours.

Chris Jolly Outdoors will be waiting to whisk you onto the water to get some food and drink into your team. Then choose to either fish, skeet shoot, visit the Maori rock carvings or all three as you sail back to the Lake Taupō Marina, and are delivered home.

Take Your Team Fly Fishing

Open all year round, Taupo’s fisheries include:

Local rivers and streams (headwaters may be closed May – October)
The main Lake Taupō (616 km²)
Backcountry rivers open from December 1st till the end of April

The rivers and streams consist of small pebbly and sandy bottoms through to larger, heavy flowing river waters. These can be found anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes out of Taupo central business district.

The trout species are rainbow and brown trout with an average weight of 1-2 kilos, with larger trophy trout up for grabs to the lucky few each season. Escape with your team today.

Get out on the Lake

With our fleet of five fully equipped boats, we can entertain groups as small as 2 and as large as 140. All boats have professional sound systems and the ability to create a meeting space. Our charter boats, the Cruise Cat & Supercat, have Free Wifi aboard.
